mp3 preview button
Hi there,
(i dont know if im right in this part of the forum. If anyone can tell me a better place to post, pleas do so) im working on a simple (html) website for a recordlable, to help selling their tunes online. Everything is finished and works fine so far. But i'd like to add a preview button to each song, that lets the user preview a snippet of the tune. How can i do this? i've already searched the web for tutorials or help, but with no (for me useful) result. Also, im quite new in webdesign and dont know a lot about programming yet, so i would appreciate an easy to understand (possibly simple) solution Hope someone can help me. |

Re: mp3 preview button
Do you want to do this with flash? I think you could probably do it with Javascript, I've never done anything like this myself but a pretty accessible preview button could probably be done with JS. What technology (methodology?) would you like to use?

Re: mp3 preview button
i dont necessarily want to do it in flash (thats why i wasn't sure where to put the thread) I thought it might be possible to make a flash button, but only because i dont realy know much about other programing/scripting languages.
but thanks for the tip with javascript. i'll check if i can find anything about it on the web. |

Re: mp3 preview button
I think you could do this with flash. Perhaps a simple start/stop functionality with the track embedded in the flash file? Flash is supposed to have good compression too so it could work out quite well.

Re: mp3 preview button
You can do it in Flash.
It can be done in many ways too. Some more time consuming than the other. Flash even comes with a mp3 component where all you have to do is tell it the file path. It's in the components Window. |
