Flash Experts please advise. Client wants Drop-Down Menu/Pictures!!!! Don't know how
Hey! I think this is my third post here and I have already learned quite a bit researching past topics and what not. I am really enjoying this site.
So, here is my question... I built AmandaCarpenterPhotography.com for my sister-in-law, and I have most of the site done. (It is a very simple and static site) My question is, in the "Gallery" section (http://www.amandacarpenterphotography.com/gallery.php) my client wants to have a drop down menu appear under each category on mouse rollover. To make things even more fun, she wants to have a different picture appear to the right, simultaneously why the drop down menu appears. The pictures will represent each category (Note: There is a Bride/Groom picture in that same place right now). And then obviously when you click on the drop down menu of each category, it will take you to a different page. So, is Flash really required for this? Is it even recommended? Can I do all of the above by just tinkering with dreamweaver, possibly? I know a little about flash, but I mean just a little. Like I barely have my feet wet. I have only followed a few online tutorials. Anyways Im going to keep messing with this and hopefully I can get some help because Im kinda getting stressed because I want to perform for her. Thanks in advance! -Joe Last edited by BlackReef; Jun 27th, 2007 at 08:18. |

You could actually accomplish the same thing with Javascript and CSS. Which might be a better alternative since you are fairly new to flash. It might be a quicker turn around to grab the CSS/JS code to do this. I'd post something in the CSS forums to learn more...
Here are some really cool ideas to get you started though! Browse through this, tons of cool ideas for a gallery created using only CSS! http://cssplay.co.uk/menu/index.html
