BUTTON will not take an action script
I import a graphic into the library.
I click on the layer/frame where I want my graphic. I drag the graphic onto the stage. I convert the graphic to a button. I highlight the newly formed button. "Current selection cannot have actions applied to it.." I tab over to another project, repeating the process with the same graphic. It allows me to add actions. I am using Flash CS3 trial. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I opened up a new FLA document and repeated the process.. and it worked. I have no clue why it didn't work on the previous one. Maybe a bug of some kind. Odd that.
