how to Reference variables of external swf loaded in flash movie

What i need is to change the flash animation dynamicaly in the topbanner of my site .when one aniamtin finished palying i wanna laod other animation.

wht i hve palnned is to change a variable at the last frame of each swf and by tracking the variable from main movie we can change the swf file in main mov and prload this. or whenever a loaded swf animation is finshed it should change the variable, so that the main movie can change the file and loads it. but to do this i wanna know below info.

Can any one tell me how to reference a variable of external swf loaded in to the main movie. i also want to preload this.is it different for different method. especially i need to know for loadMovie(), loadMovieNum(), MovieClipLoader() class, progressbar component . Which one i can choose and how to access the variable in external swf from main movie. Can we change the main movie's variable from external swf coding . if yes how to do , how should we reference it from external swf's timline or AS.
please help me with this so that i can complete my work soon.

I think this might be what you are looking for...

This article talks about how pulling in an external .swf to a Parent Movie clip makes it part of that parent object, hence, you can reference any variables and so on from the parent object.
