high quality flash video

i was wandering if anybody knows if it's possible to use 3rd party video compression software for flash 7+?

i have seen this video online, which plays in flash 7:

http://www.syzygy.de/default.aspx?menu=syzygy_home

i have tried every combination of flash 7/8/9 import techniques (streaming, sorenson, higher kbit/second rates etc) but i can't get the quality anything like it is in the site above. mine comes out really blocky, despite having a perfect mov/avi to import.

does anyone have any tips?

IT might be that your publish settings aren't...set.

The higher the quality, the bigger the file though. So, go to your publish settings and change the quality to...really high. It also depends on what kind of file your trying to export it to, but if your just testing the movie and it's blocky, that is a weird problem and shouldn't be happening.

So, mess with your publish settings and see if that helps.

So you've uploaded it to a web server and tested it out? Is that when it is blocky?

You can also try upping your buffer times on the video, that usually helps with some of the choppyness.

But if you upload a video using streaming and built a little video player, it should work just fine...unless your "project size" is smaller than the video? that might be causing it too?

Lots of things to think about, can you exlpain a little more?
