Linking issues in Flash MX 6.0

Hi All, Nice site i have added it to favs for future reference.

Im brand new to flash and have had to learn it via tutorials over the previous week for an assignment which i have to submit soon.

I have created a very small prototype encylopedia, however i have an issue or two:

First off being i created the flash on the basis of a scrolling basis with the intention of creating a stop at the menu layer, and then linking over layers in for interactive reasons. I do believe this is not the correct way to do so,

Second (main problem really), taking the above into consideration i created 4 seperate .fla. With the intention of linking them in externally. However the .swf files wont show up in the internal library (they are in the correct folder).

The buttons are created and have the action

on (press, release) {
_root.contents.loadMovie("alligator.swf");
}

but i cant find anyway of actually linking the location in, as mentioned the .swf format wont show in the library to allow me to link.

Any feedback suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Inj3cted

Re: Linking issues in Flash MX 6.0

never mind i sorted it, by adding a bit of code for each of the 4 new layers and adding keyframes.
