xml with flash?

I'm trying to make a litte website using flash, mostly just for fun don't even know what it will be about Anyway one of the things I couldn't figure out was how to make the content easily updateable.

I used to make some sites with HTML and then I could very easily just open the HTML document in any writting program and change it, but with flash that isn't very easy. But then I heard you could use an external XML sheet which contained all the text, and make the flash document load this into the flash document. How do I do this? I'm not asking how to make the XML sheet, I guess this isn't really the place. But how do I do the flash part?

You can. Flash can read PHP, XML, or a standard txt file. It depends on what you are doing and what type of text you are using. I find a text file is the easiest method to implement, and probably the best for what you are doing.

Okey, but what do I need to do in the flash file to make it read the XML document and write the text onto the flash file?

I would highly discourage the use of an XML document for this project. Either PHP, or a text file. But if you insist I will tell you the code!

Ops, nvm... How can I get the flash to read the php or text document then? and how much php would I need to know? because I know nothing about php atm
