Noob question

Hi there, i'm building a site and for now I want to have a holding page. Which redirects users to the original website. THe company logo has changed and on the holding page I want to have the old logo morphing into the new logo, I know that flash is very clever and I think that this is the sort of thing you shoudl use flash for, what I want to know is this.

1) Can it be done in flash?
2) How easy is it to do in flash?
3) How long would it take a noobie like me to do it considering that I bought flash then read the intro booklet and did the tutorials then have left it aside for about a year and a half and so have forgotten everything I learnt?

Cheers in advance.

First of all, let me welcome you to webforumz and wish you a long and happy stay here.

I believe what you are trying to accomplish is fairly advanced to get a truly polished professional finish but then I am not tutored in Flash whatsoever.

I took the liberty of finding this for you:-

I think Sirkent will likely have some tips for you however when he spots this thread.

The tutorial Rob pointed you at is indeed the sort of thing you need if you want to do a shape tween.

However I don't believe that such a tween is particularly professional or effective unless done with very simple shapes. If your logo is quite complicated then making the effect look good could be next to impossible!

Fair point, i've been told by someone else that i'll need vector graphics to do the proper morph and so it sounds like it could be quite hard, the best idea I think will be to keep it as a static image.

Thanks for your help though. Very quick replies :-)

I know it's probably not what you're after but, just in case you haven't thought of it, could you fade the old one out and the new one in?
Or build some kind of swf to a similar result?
