Projector problem

Hi

I've got a strange problem.

I've been using the same version of flash for months now and
have never had OS 9 on my Apple Mac.

The problem is all of a sudden the projectors I publish are being published as 'classic' projectors. It just comes up with this warning:

"Classic cannot find a Mac OS 9 system folderon the startup disk to use."

And then says I should install. But I've never had OS 9 and have never had this problem.

Has anyone got any idea's of whats causing this? I don't generally mess around with settings on my computer or app's preferences, but it may be possible I've changed somthing some where.

Thanks.

Re: Projector problem

I really haven't used Flash on OS X for about half a year. I never tinkered with projectors, either. I still might be able to help. Are you using Flash 8 and are you on OS 10.4?

Re: Projector problem

Oh dear, I have never used MX, only MX 2004. And very briefly at that. I just downloaded the trial so I could do a favor for a client. What are projectors used for?

Re: Projector problem

The standalone projectors are used in CD-rom's to present the movie in a independant application so it can work without using other applications.

You can publish one in; file/publish settings.

Re: Projector problem

Change the publish settings. You might have set the "Flash Version" to an earlier one which requires OS 9.

Re: Projector problem

Thanks for the tip MrMadison.

Just tried it and it set at flash player 6. I can actually make a 'test movie' fine. I just the 'standalone projector' I'm having trouble with.

I've also discovered that my mac does open it, but only when it feels like it and not very often...Which somehow makes it all the more annoying!

regards

Jacob promised to teach me Flash when we're both in Paris over a cup of coffee. Hopefully I'll be able to answer this problem, then
