Making the contents of a loader clickable

I have a question. I'm curious as to if it is possible to make the contents of a loader clickable. Basically, I'm loading images into a loader on my site. What I want to do is make it so the user can click it and the picture will enlarge, but how is this possible if you are loading different images into the same loader? Does it involve an xml file of some sort? Your thoughts...

Thanks so much!

hmmm, I have a lot of thoughts, there are many ways to accomplish this. An XML, ActionScript...etc. Up to you which one to choose!!

Thoughts?! Thoughts are great, you should share! Actionscript would probably be better...seeing as I don't really know xml...yet. Yet, i have no clue... =( sad me. Is there a tutorial you know of online or any tips you could give me. Thanks so much again!

Okay, well it would be great if you were a little bit more descriptive. I am confused. Do you want to make the loader clickable...or do you want to make the object it loaded clickable?

Re: Making the contents of a loader clickable

sorry...I want to make the object that it loads clickable...here's the link to the site.

http://www.tsutsumidaphoto.com/JohnU...te/index5.html

It might take a few seconds to load, I haven't made a preloader yet. Click on the gallery entitled "Japanalia" and then it will load another page with thumbnails and then a bigger image on the right. I want to make the images that get loaded on the right clickable. In fact here's a link to the website that shows kinda of what i want to do.

http://www.ciriljazbec.com/

Click on "portfolio" at the bottom then when that loads click on the bigger picture next to the thumbnails. When you click, it will load a bigger picture and everything else will go black. Hope that wasn't too confusing.

Thanks so much for your help

Re: Making the contents of a loader clickable

Yeah I understand what you are talking about now. That is going to be very difficult...if you want it exactly like his. That was some fancy effects. I can help you out with a couple of links here.

ActionScript and JavaScript are pretty much the same language, so I am going to refer you to some JavaScript, this would be best accomplished within flash, using ActionScript, and perloading the images via an XML file. This JavaScript effect is called..."Lightbox". Does exactly the same thing that flash one does...except without all the extra 'flash effects'.

http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/

You would have to look at the JavaScript and weed at the codes that flash does not support and modify it ever so slightly and you should be able to get a working flash version without to much awful trouble. I am sure there is an already made version within flash that is closer to what you are looking for, I will also start hunting for something close. I will let you know wither I find something. Make sure to keep us posted!!

Good Luck!!
