Okay, I screwed up BIG time: is there a fix??
I sent sirkent a pm on this because, well, it's flippin' embarrassing, but he's probably busy... so ... here's the situation:
I created a Flash movie and finished today. I've been testing the movie this whole time IN Flash by going into the "test movie" feature. Well, I published the movie and ran the html page.... and realized that MOST of the elements are OFF THE STAGE. I've been working this entire time, off and on for about a month now, without realizing I was putting content off the stage. so it's not showing... What I've tried that hasn't worked: Tried going into Modify/Document and increasing the size.... but it didn't work because that only added size to the RIGHT of the movie (NOT helpful). Tried selecting ALL elements and moving them to the upper left of the stage and going into Modify/document and choosing "contents." That didn't work because only PART of the elements will move, even when selected, and it still only adds size to the right of the movie. Is there a way to fix this so that the entire movie shows, or am I just totally screwed now? |

you can try this: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash5/fullscreen.htm
but since you say they are off the stage that probably wont work. The best option is to copy alllllll of the frames in your flash movie. Then go to insert>new symbol>movie clip and name it website mc or w/e then once its open paste allll the frames into your timeline of your newly created mc. Go back to scene 1. Save it as a new document just incase you mess up. Then delete alll of your layers (and delete the last layer by adding a new one then deleting the one with content on it). Once thats done open your library ctrl + L and drag website mc or w/e you named it onto your stage. Now that its a movie clip you will be able to resize your stage under properties and then you can move your mc around to fit it. This should do the trick. also might help if you posted something so i can see but otherwise thats my best solution for ya. good luck |

If I was in your shoes Autumn then I would manually move the parts that don't fit so that they do. Now that you have all the groundwork in place that shouldn't take more than an hour or two to do at most... oh and of course... learn from your mistakes |

yea disregard the first link... it only helps under certain circumstances.. which i dont think you have. Just move everything im sure its not that much.

there's no way to move the parts that don't fit onto the section of the movie that shows---because they would cover the area that shows right now.
I may have to start from scratch again. |
