preloading images into browser cache

helo,

how do I go about preloading images into the browser cache thru Flash? Well, I've got this splash page and half is flash, half is just graphic. The flash part, I was actually thinking of putting a preloader, which preloads the images required for the later part of the site ( ie when the visitor leaves the splash screen and enters the site )

any help would be deeply appreciated. thanks in advance.

If you use loadmovie, and target a movieClip that is not visible (either because it is off the screen or has an alpha of 0), then this will preload the images to the user's cache.

I'm not sure...
The browser would definetly cache the images itself, as opposed to flash... And I suppose the request is a simple one just like on a webpage.... so tecnically, yes, the browser should use the cached images.
