Pop up window link!
Hello!
I have a "Read More" button under a small amount of text. I would like a chromless window to pop up with the rest of the text in it or a photo when it is clicked. Please could someone tell me how to do this or point me in the direction of some instructions! Thanks very much for your time! |

Welcome to the site!
Try something like this: http://www.siteexperts.com/tips/tech...ts05/page1.asp A quick search on google will show you alternatives. However, bear in mind that this will only work in IE. |

Hi Karl!
Thanks! Great to be here! Sorry, I'm getting confused! I am competent at making normal HTML/CSS websites. This is my first attempt at Flash! In my Flash website, when I click on the button to read more text is the best way to have a normal HTML page with the remainder of the text on it which opens in a new window or is there another way? Sorry for being so stupid! |

Within Flash you can do anything you want. You could make the additional text appear when you push the button by using the gotoAndStop(framenumber); command.
Opening new windows is generally frowned upon unless you need it to be outside of Flash. Think of a way to represent the additional text in Flash. It could probably be done. You could make the text scroll, for example. |
