Positioning mouse on the screen
Hello, I could use some help, I am trying to position the mouse on a certain button on my screen. So I would need to move the position of the mouse from where ever it is to that one specific button on screen. I would appreciate your help.

Re: Positioning mouse on the screen
Can't really understand the question, what is it you want the mouse or the button to do?

Re: Positioning mouse on the screen
Well, let say I have a roll over button on screen, and want the mouse pointer to appear on this button so it triggers the button.
Now the mouse pointer could be anywhere on the screen, but as soon as this button appears I want the mouse pointer to land on it without the help of the user. |

Re: Positioning mouse on the screen
Ok i think i now understand what you're trying to do.
Basically as soon as the btn appears you want the mouse to automatically appear on it to trigger the onRollover event no matter where the mouse was before, right? OK.... I suppose the user will always have control of the mouse so how to do this i'm not sure. There could be some kind of AS that can do what you want but i'm not there yet. Hang around for the flash pros to see your thread & maybe they can help. |

Re: Positioning mouse on the screen
Thank you for your help. Tell me, I am just learning the basics, but flash has so much to learn, I used to do some programming while back, about 20 year or so ago, when assembly language and basic and cobal was the norm.
My question is do you think I can do lot with just the basic commands, the ones that appear in action frame panel? Thanks for helping me out. |

Re: Positioning mouse on the screen
Sure i suppose you wouldn't be writing any complicated scripts as a beginer so the basics is where to start. Once you understand the basics then you can start editing & doing other cool stuff with plenty of AS available on the web.
I've learned a lot from this forum so you're definitely in the right place if you're having flash problems. I'm no AS genius either so i'm still learning. Here's are some links for you if you like, you can learn some quick & basic stuff here too... http://www.gotoandlearn.com/ http://www.video-tutes.com/packages/FDesign1.php http://www.avelx.co.uk/flash.html |
