Re: WOTM Voting - February 2008
It'd be interesting if it did go to that because, looking at who has voted, staff are pretty much split 50/50

I don't have enough posts to vote but there are nice designs. Very clean.

Re: WOTM Voting - February 2008
I'm glad I checked this today
I LOVE minute44's design. And that post on the new AVP put my thoughts into words for me. Alex's site is cool too. I like your site Bravo, I think the reason it isn't getting votes is because of the size mostly. But we are always still learning I like djog a lot as well. I just noticed that there wasn't a lot of content and the portfolio only had two items. If the content is more filled out it will be awesome(r)!

Re: WOTM Voting - February 2008
We have 13,186 registered member but we only have, let me take my calculator first... Ahh, 0.22751...% of them voting! I think that we must do something that will encourage members to participate with this
Currently, we can see most of the votes comes from the STAFF (>50%)
Make it as our obligation to Webforumz Just my opinion tho...

Re: WOTM Voting - February 2008
Yeh, it's not as if we don't advertise this enough, as it's on the home page on featured threads.
Could we possibly email members reminding them each month about the website of the month?
As these people have gone to the time and effort to create these sites, personally i think it is the least we can do to take a few minutes out of our lives and take a look at their sites.
COME ON PEOPLE, IT 'S ONLY 5/10 MINUTES OF YOUR TIME
*motivational speech over

Re: WOTM Voting - February 2008
I think that sending out emails might annoy people and cause some to unregister. Thats just how the internet works. Especially with forums. There are more people who register and don't post than the ones that do. Sometimes people post once or twice and forget about it. There are at least 20 good sites just like this one where people can post their websites, so what makes it successful is if it has something unique that people like. Obviously that unique thing isn't easy to find, but there are tons of ideas out there. Overall these forums do really well, and I found your community/site through Google, so it isn't really a problem or anything. Maybe a new design? Maybe you guys can have a competition for the new site's design where all the members submit their concepts. Just throwing out ideas. This is a successful website, btw

You do no that the WOTM competition is for users to submit their sites for voting, we're not looking for a new design for this site?

Re: WOTM Voting - February 2008
Oh yes, of course I typed that up kinda sloppy... I was just talking about the website in general. I was just saying that because there is TheFWA, Webby Awards, and TONS of site out there for both flash related sites and simplistic CSS/html sites. I have a ton that I check all the time. I was suggesting some ideas to make some of the members become more involved in these forums. Give them something extra to do and there will be more people here to vote for these WOTM competitions. Just throwing out my idea & opinion.

Well, as far as I am concerned, I have joined few other web design forum out there which is really really really really sucks in replying to our question! Full of egoistic and psycho! And the most important things is their design! From 2004 up until now, there is not a single bit tiny of changes or upgrade in terms of the styling, features or even given any appreciation to the member!
Well, you are new here in Webforumz, so you just missed the EVOLUTION of this forum. Since I joined this forum, there has been so much of changes in terms of the design, the looks, and most important thing is how the community worked as a TEAM!
For me, this is the best forum in the universe! I spent more than 6 hours a day just to make sure I don't missed a thing on whats going on in Webforumz :cool2:
So... about the WOTM stuff, I hope that will be one of our main focus in the future!
Cheers...

Re: WOTM Voting - February 2008
Offtopic: Webforumz is my favourite web design forum out of sooooo many because of the great community. Simpley put!
Ontopic: What's the chance of me winning WOTM? *shakes 8-ball*: Outlook is bleak.

UnitedCraig you have rocked my delicate Southern Belle Sensitivities my accusing me of potential SPAM. (South, like the southern United States. Scarlett O'Hara territory.)
We are WAY TOO POLITE to spam in the south.
It's a close competition.
