WOTY - Website of the Year 2007 - Voting
Webforumz Website of the Year for 2007
Welcome to the prestigious Website of the Year competition!
What is the Website of the Year?
The website of the year is a competition for the best websites over the months’ of the year (2007) – voted by you!
This competition is different than the Website of the Month competition because: - You cannot submit your website for voting;
- The entrants are already decided;
- There is a much, much larger prize at stake – to find out more, check the ‘Prizes section’!
When does the competition end?
The competition ends on 25th December 2007 (Yes, that’s Christmas day for those who celebrate it!).
The poll will be automatically closed on this day so that there is no chance whatsoever of cheating.
The Rules
The rules are simple, really. - You must have ten (10) posts to vote.
- You may only vote once. If you are found to be undermining this rule, all your votes will be cancelled and you will be banned from using the WOTM / WOTY competition again.
Other information - Discussions over websites can be contained within the voting thread.
- Only eleven (11) websites will be entered this year, instead of twelve (12) because one month was skipped to allow the WOTM rules to be amended.
Prizes
If you win the competition, you will be awarded a special WOTY badge for your website you will also get some wonderful prizes – enough to cheer any web designer up – trust me!!
The prizes include: - One hundred dollar ($100!) gift voucher for the fabulous Cartoon Smart website!
- The First Webforumz/Creative Coding Shirt EVER!
- A Webforumz/Creative Coding Mug
- Mentioned in Creative Coding Newsletter!
- A prestigious logo to place on your site.
- ‘SuperMember!’ Status
Where do I vote?
Firstly, you are in the correct thread! Below there are a list of websites – and above there is a poll. This poll decides the winner – if you vote for the incorrect person, you may Private Message me (Marc) and I will change it for you.
Good Luck to everyone! Have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Re: WOTY - Website of the Year 2007 - Voting
Let the voting begin!
I vote Option 8. It's a very nice, clean site. The color scheme is pleasing, and the whole page flows well. I especially like the occasional vertical text
I must say, however, that this was a difficult decision. There were several other sites that were amazing. I thought long and hard about my vote, and I must say that I made the right choice. Congratulations Konnor! I hope to see more of your designs...
Good luck to all!

I would have to agree, it was a tough decision to make. I voted for option 12 for its overall design. I wish everyone the best of luck!

Re: WOTY - Website of the Year 2007 - Voting
For the shear complexity of the design combined with ease of use and time taken to load, it has to be Option 11.
I am by no means an expert in web design, but to me this looks excellently well designed and a lot of time and effort has clearly gone into this.
The only possible downside is that the code does not validate, apart from that though, 10/10
Happy Christmas people, good luck to everyone

Very exciting competition! I went with Fresh Coat of Paint! I love the layers and the color scheme and that it very themed to the business name without being overly done!
Good luck all!

I notice that mattoconnor and DRD received the same WOTM badges. September for both of them. matt=August, DRD=September.
I voted matt Gibson!

Re: WOTY - Website of the Year 2007 - Voting
It's a close call between Matt Gibson, Fresh Coat of paint, Matt O'Conner, and Dave Reeder for me.
Maybe too close........
Anthony Brewitts' "freash Coat of Paint" just pips it at the post for me.
