Flash: derBauer

derBauer have been around for ages and have made so many sites it isn't worth mentioning, check out their portfolio if you want to see what I mean!

Their new site is along the same lines as the last few: Lots of 3D, trance music and some very nice flash transitions...

Of course, it's not to everyone's tastes and the sites can be a little difficult to use sometimes...

Site looks good. I can't wait to start seeing more sites that aren't web development companies.

Yeah, I'm starting to see this alot. People aren't thinking about how their sites are put together in terms of processing power. So you are starting to get slow down on machines that could easily handle what's going on if there was just a little bit more thinking about the site.

Eg: Processing XML takes a huge amount of resources. When you visit 2advanced, it slows down as the boxes fill up the screen on the short intro before the site. It's not the animation - It's the XML. Would have made more sense to do it just after the loading and then assign the results to textfields, but hey - Who am I to criticise 2advanced ?
