Which software is this?
Does anyone know what software was used for this particular website
http://www.tomsgardenequipment.co.uk/
I know the design isn't that nice, but wanted to know if there was a way of finding which software it uses

Re: Which software is this?
This software as far as I can gather is a proprietary system written specifically for that site.

According to integralvision, the designers, this is custom built.

Anything is possible. Look at the php resources in the stickies to get you started, and if you have a Q just ask.

Actually my company built the site. Everything is custom built. I must say that I found your comment about the design a bit odd having looked at your own site and the single example in your portfolio. The client brought this to our attention and I have to question why you felt the need to comment on our design? Does the fact that you are live just up the road from our offices have anything to do with it?
What do the rest of you think of the design?

Re: Which software is this?
Me neither. The flash animation in the header is cheesy. No offense, but this is not a nice site...

I'd like to know where you got VB from?
VB is a language used in desktop applications..... unless you meant VbScript? They are very different.
The core functionality behind the site is almost definitly PHP as it is running on Apache/2.0.52

From this Rob:
- HTML: Select all
<script language="vbscript" src="/includes/flashdetect.vbs"></script>

I meant vbscript but I was in a rush so just cut it down assuming everyone would know what I meant.

Re: Which software is this?
I cant see why the design has been slated.. well, at least from an aesthetic point of view.
I think the site is extremely well themed and is a classic example of how to give a client what they want!
I have to highly commend this design and it's designers for pulling off such a stunning example of a site more geared to it's target market than the vast majority of other sites are.
The only area in which I can fault this site is in the area of SEO. However I assume that like most professional web design companies, SEO isn't their area of expertise - after all, you wouldn't go to the butchers for a load of bread would you.
