Multi Vendor Cart
Hi,
Am looking for a cart that can provide the following:
If no "off the shelf" products available, then where could I find a developer to produce such an application and how much could that cost? Thanks Alex |

Re: Multi Vendor Cart
I tried google- the problem is with the multi-vendor. Orders placed need to be communicated to the relevant vendor somehow - this is where I am stuck!

Re: Multi Vendor Cart
So you are more of a "marketplace". Multi vendors, using the same shopping cart?

Re: Multi Vendor Cart
Here is an exact example of the application:
I have a directory of pizza restaurants. Customer comes to my site, and selects a restaurant they like, whether it be because of the location of the restaurant or because of the quality. The customer needs to be able to click on the restaurant and be given the option to Order a delivery, Order a collection or Make a reservation in the restaurant. As you can see, each pizza restaurant may have a different food menu and pricing structure, so the order form needs to be with regards to what that restaurant offers. The order is placed online and immediately the restaurant receives the order and prepares it for the customer. In a nutshell, this is what I require. |

Re: Multi Vendor Cart
Hi Alex,
What did you end up choosing? I ask because I am currently trying to choose a cart that allows for multiple sellers (up to 50 or so) to sell their own products in my site's marketplace. But, each seller can't mess with the other's stuff (they can't modify the other's seller info or products; limited access rights). Any ideas? Leafgreen |

Re: Multi Vendor Cart
Because of the complexity of the cart (requiring communication to the independent seller) I needed a custom application framework through a web developer. There may be something around that does accomodate something similar (like OSCommerce) however, I preferred the custom side of things so that I am not restricted by limitations of off the shelf products.

Re: Multi Vendor Cart
Check Cubecart. I think it works for you but it may need some customization.
