Which cart?
I am needing to incorporate a shopping cart into a site.
I am using PHP sadly the server is running PHP 4 on windows So I cant use say... Zen Cart. I have come down to either PayPal's online cart or Mal's cart Which would be the best? any ideas? |

Re: Which cart?
I've used both. Paypal is good for a startup. The one negative I am finding is that you can't use a shipping calculator. Shipping options are limited and frustrating.
Mal's is good. Easy to use, lots of help in the forum if you need it, and you can use a range of shipping calculators. |

Re: Which cart?
I'll probably use mal's then.
The site has a relatively small sales range. It probably won't change to much either. thanks. |

Re: Which cart?
You could also look at checking out 2CO for a payment processor. Or paypal they are both GREAT!

Re: Which cart?
I have used Mal's for several years and really love it! The only problem I had with the Mal's cart was that it does not support Google Checkout. It does support Paypal.
Good Luck! RooKaps.com Team |

Re: Which cart?
Since we have switched from using simple Paypal buttons and Google checkout buttons to using Mals-e... our sales have almost doubled. I think Mals-e can't be beat. Mals-e easily supports Paypal transactions as well as most other forms of payment. It does not yet support Google checkout though.
We also have the Mals-e setup so that order notifications are delivered to cell phone... neat! RooKaps.com Team |

Re: Which cart?
Terry, what shipping calculator do you use.. if any?

Option 7-- Mal was kind enough to actually set it up for me! He is so personally helpful.
The following allows us to charge $2.99 shipping for orders less than $10.00 in US; and $6.99 for international orders. I couldn't quite figure out how this works-- but it absolutely does-- beautifully! This is option 7 shipping, check the "shipping by value" check box. The first zone table is: US and CA: 1 2.99 9 0.00 0 0.00 0 0.00 - -2.99 International: 1 6.99 0 0.00 0 0.00 0 0.00 - 0.00 Charlotte Terry http://www.Rookaps.com |

Re: Which cart?
Oh.. you used a flat rate sort of shipping.
All my clients ship products of different weights so I needed a calculator that added up the products in ounces then calculated the shipping. I was able to purchase an easy to use one from one of the members on the Mal's Forum. Thanks for answering.. I was just curious! |
