Best WYSIWYG Editor

Just starting a personel site, know very little code and would like to keep it that way Would like some suggestions for a WYSIWYG editor. See alot of them out there, some free some not, dont mind paying if its worth it. Would like something thats a happy medium between ease of use (most important) and full featured. Dont plan on anything real fancy for the site.
Hey, my first post!
Thanks!
Garry

Re: Best WYSIWYG Editor

Download trial version. Once you use it you will find it easy and never go to another wysiwyg editor.

Re: Best WYSIWYG Editor

As Sypher says, Dreamweaver is the best (full featured) WYSIWIG editor.
Think what you meant to ask Garry is, "What's the best WYSYWIG editor for under $200.00 (or thereabouts)".
Cheaper than Dreamweaver, is FrontPage.
However, the downside to it is that there's always a reason one thing is cheaper than another and FP is not as full featured as DW, by any means.
As a compromise between ease of use, features, and cost, it's probably what you're expecting.

I would suggest two things;
That you will have outgrown FP inside of a year, and will then wish you'd bought DW instead.
Looking at even a little HTML code and understanding it will help you use any WYSIWYG much more effectively (did me).

Re: Best WYSIWYG Editor

You're welcome bud.
I remember being in your position.
THIS may help you understand how easy it is to grasp the basics of HTML. You also need to start thinking about CSS (I'm only just venturing down this road and starting to see why everyone keeps raving about it) and XHTML.

[edit:
Matter of interest, I just did a quick Google for Dreamweaver and found you can buy OEM versions for the same price as a full pack FrontPage. You'd need to check the vendor's terms (as OEM it may be that you're required to purchase something else with it. ie you can only purchase Windows OEM with hardware for a system like a motherboard or cpu, etc) but certainly worth looking into further. That's a GREAT price for DW.

Re: Best WYSIWYG Editor

If you are or know someone in school or that is a teacher you can get Dreamweaver for next to nothing. I got Studio 8 for around $80. Alternately you could use something like NVU. Its not the best by any means but it is functional and free. http://www.nvu.com/index.php

Downloaded and installed NVG, was a pointing and a clicking right away. It is very easy to use and suits my needs just fine at this point. Price was right too Thanks for the lead!
