Swish is cool. Have alot of inbuilt effects already installed. But it's up to you. If your looking for a quick way to make ad's or pretty slide show use it. But for more advance stuff such as using it for an application on your website, CS3 will definately be the best option. Will be easier to validate actionscript and get help for from other people.

Amen,
Swish is fine for little things like banners and slideshows, but if you ever (dunno why) want to build a site in flash, or build an application.. do it in cs3..

Flash is > Swish.
It's like buying a 22" TV instead of a 52" High Def TV.. Yeah you get the same picture, but the 52" High Def is still better .

Well said, they both do the job, it just depends on whether you want the job doing to a good enough standard, and also you bank balance.
If you have the money though, definitely go for flash

Strange that you say that as I actually have a 52" high def TV.
Flash itself was made by macromedia (which is now adobe) so it makes sense to get the product from the people who actually made it.
