Need Help: User profile interface

Hi,
I have a new website being developed but i want to add a list of our members and thier profiles. The members are on the forum and i want to add a list of the usernames on the main site with a link to all their profiles. Also i want it so that they can edit there own profiles. This would mean thme having to log in and then edit sections of the website under their own usernames. Does anyone have any ides about this?

can't you do this through the forum tho? Editing their profiles? So ... why not just link their UserCP?

Yes you can but i wanted to add it onto the main site. I might be able to link to the forum profile page from the main site but it wanted to see how easy or dificult it would be to make a new one.

Are you skilled with PHP?

well forums are made my professionals,
so to understand them you'd probably need a professional understanding.

i know my way around the php in forums, im currently using phpbb btw.

We have phpbb specialist, can't remember who though (might be Daniel)

Alright, I recently did something almost similar. Webforumz needed to pull all user profiles from the VB database into our wordpress database. This required some long hours, and hard work. Some fields VB had wordpress did not, also which usergroup went where on wordpress. This was all able to be completed though php. I created a VB plugin that would allow me to set within VB where each usergroup should be placed on Wordpress. Then yet another plugin that allowed me to transfer them to wordpress by entering my username and password for wordpress. Hope this helps. I would say you would need to know enough about PHP to write a plugin for phpbb.

Daniel is not a phpbb expert when it comes to code. Pretty much everything else...yes, just not code.

Well, it's true...lol. I made that mistake as well. Thought he was great at coding since he knows everything about phpbb, but that is not the case....lol.

Correct, but this all changes very soon. Just have to wait for the newsletter to be released to find out more about this.
