HTML Easy Edit v1.0

I created a php based script that allows you to load sections of a HTML page into a WYSIWYG editor similar to the one used when you make posts here. All you have to do to use it is add formatted comments before and after the sections you want to be able to edit in the HTML pages and the script will take care of the rest.

Heres a demo:

Username : test
Password : tester

the pages you can edit from within the demo are

I thought since I know a few people here actually create html sites for people you might find this useful. Let me know if any of you are interested in using this script.

Lost me as well...lol. Nice job, I like it. So basically it is a CMS...right? Very nice design, even on the editor admin area. Great job!

Re: HTML Easy Edit v1.0

I just updated the project. There was some things wrong with the layout code pointed out at another forum i posted this at. Now I am working on a single button to update all sections at once and then maybe a way to add multiple users with different permissions.

The thing about your CMS is who is going to be using it? I looked at it and it just seems overbearing for what I want to do, I mean look at all those buttons! And I'm a web developer so why would I want to use all of those buttons you have there, to me it just takes up space. Now for someone else who is looking into using this maybe they want to use all of those buttons, but usually a person who doesn't know much about a program and sees a lot of buttons will more than likely not stay either. What can you do you ask? Well you can combine all the form elements into one dropdown button. That'll clear up a lot of space for one, but just combine elements to drop down buttons and that'll make it a LOT cleaner and better looking.

I think you need to redo the interface a good bit before this is ready because I just don't feel like I have any power over the content. I would also recommend updating all the content at once like you suggested you were going to be doing.

Thanks you for your advice, This is exactly the thoughts expressed to me on another forum and I know exactly how I will be implementing it. There will be just one options/'buttons' section at the top with sections pages in text boxes following and a single save all button.

As far as the interface could you expand on your comment?
