good Software installer/creator

I am a designer who is interested in selling software creations,
specifically i want to design and sell flash mp3 players and flv player
programs for people to use on thier sites... what sort of program woulld
allow or aide me to write a script that allows someone to buy, install, and
create thier own variation of players using my tool...sort of like how wimpy sells mp3 player scripts that allow manipulation of skins... I try to ask the guys over at wimpy questions like this but they ignore me or just dont have the time...or i guess they figure why help someone become competition. i google software creators only to get people selling
work not actual programs that aide in development... iwant to be able to
develop programs eventually earning me money so that i can quit my dumb ass job working for Mr.XXXXXX over at XXXXXX, INC. or i would be happy earning like $1500 a month selling software and working part time at my dumb ass job.... I
already understand that I need studio 8 or the likes to help create flash. looking for something to help create the actual tool for manipulating software after it is downloaded and installed. I understand PHP, perl and I have the ability write websites from scratch...using just a blank note pad document...am I somewhat skilled enough to write software downloads or am I way out of my league since I havent been to any Microsoft Meetings? Oh and I dropped outta college... my dad didnt have the money to send me to a $45k/year college for C++ programming..Am I outta my league when it comes to developing software or is it somewhat possible to give it a shot?
