dual action queries
I was wondering if anyone knows how to have a search form write its query to a log file or database so that I can report on what people are searching for.
So when they search for something, they get to a results page and the database or log file gets written to so I can check to see what the most popular search parameters are. The server technology I am using is jsp. thanks for you help on this toughie. D@VE Last edited by Daddyohhh99; Nov 23rd, 2005 at 21:31. |

Re: dual action queries
If you know how to create a database search then surely you know how to save it search criteria into a table? Did you not create the search page?

Re: dual action queries
I did create the search, but the action is to a third party site (it is an online travel site). I am not sure though as to how to also make it insert into a databse at the same time.

Re: dual action queries
oh right, in that case, change the action to a page you have created which will save the search criteria and then make it automatically redirect to the third party site where the user can see their search results.
