Problems floating a list, as well as some other issues!
Hi guys, I've got a couple of small problem with the floats being used on my site, but I can't quite work out where I'm going wrong.
#1 On the sites page I'd like for the content and navigation to be placed nicely alongside the image, but it's very reluctant to do so at the moment. #2 On the development page the same list is causing me problems. I wasn't sure where to put it so wanted to float it inline with the text, again, not much luck! While I'm at it, when you hover over the image link on the sites page there's a small grey border at the bottom which changes colour, which is obviously the same that I've set the a link css to, but I think even though it's a mistake it actually looks rather nice! ;-) Is there anyway to emphasise it and maybe make it a little thicker? Thank you! |

That's odd, when I play with it, it doesn't seem to respond to normal CSS. I don't get it! You can emphasize the thing on the images with CSS like this, but it depends on what you want:

Ah excellent, thanks for the reply! I've managed to sort it out now anyway, but I'm still having a problem with the lists in IE in that they sometimes have a background colour, odd eh?

Use the background code then to cover any situation.
Im not sure if this is correct but this is the idea that I have.

Thanks for the code, but unfortunately it's taking the value from the a href which has a background, I guess the best way around it would be to remove the a href background, but I'm not sure what I'd replace it with that'd stand out but not look too tacky! :-)

Either that, or seperate your a href values with id codes? Make one for your list values, and another for your other links?

Haha, would you ever believe it was a:visited that was causing the problem! I was on it for bloomin' ages yesterday too! :-)
