problems with layout in dreamweaver 8 CSS

Hi guys,

I'm a programmer working on a CSS workup through Dreamweaver. I'm quite new to Dreamweaver and wouldn't have used it, but the client specified it must be completed through DW 8. I've just finished most of the spec, but I'm having major troubles getting the left and right sidebars to stick to the footer of the page. There's a navigation menu on the left sidebar and the sidebar div just sticks to the bottom of the nav menu. Can you guys let me know if you have any solutions to this? My boss reckons it is something to do with the footer CSS but I've been dicking around with it all day and still can't get the sidebars to move.
