CSS Problem?

Hi,
I have a CSS layout that I designed in Dreamweaver, but I don't know what to do with it, you can't view CSS in design mode, is there anyway I can import it into HTML? Or anything to see the design?
Thanks

Add borders to all your layout div's like this.

selector {border: 1px solid red}

Re: CSS Problem?

Your .css file (if external) should be controlling a html page, you should be able to view this html page in dreamweaver design view. Failing that preview it in your browser.

When I'm working with css I continually have the site in a browser, make my css changes and then keep refreshing the browser to check how the site is progressing with the changes.

To be honest Dreamweaver is overkill software meaning its not 100% reliable unless you code by hand and if you are going to do that, you can do a lot better than DW price wise.

if you want to edit your CSS in Dreamweaver you need to view it in code view. DW will not render raw CSS in design mode.

I agree it outs abit too much in that you can do without. Although I use Dreamweaver it is always in code view like you said, I like to know whats going on and not what the program thinks it should include. I am a fan of Dreamweaver though, its a good management system and ftp client - also find the object library function very useful when building large sites.
