CSS Problem - I'm going insane!!

here's the page:
http://www.ericdmunoz.com/aib
I cannot figure out why the page is so long.

The page is WICKED long now. I have a feeling it's due to having divs inside of divs.
Basically i have 3 layers. (1) main (2) maintop (3) leftnav, pics, and texbg1&2.

Everything is relative and i noticed that my textbg 1&2 is at -1250px.
Could this be part of the problem?

Help please!

Have you check your height? Maybe that's the problem, you probably set it to that much.

Oh i see, try setting the height to a specific number/pixel and see how it goes.

Re: CSS Problem - I'm going insane!!

ya that works, but I need it to be able to automatically grow on its own as more content is added.
Thank you though.
Any other ideas?

I am also a beginner and I have run out of ideas too. My only suggestion is to play around with the settings. Maybe you have typed something by mistake near the bottom so it extends that far. If not I guess you have to be patient and wait for an experienced person.

"I noticed that my textbg 1&2 is at -1250px." That could also be the problem, try changing that also.

Re: CSS Problem - I'm going insane!!

Yes, basically your -1250px is the problem.

Your layout is a standard 3 column layout and each column should be predefined and line up automatically to the top.

I could rewrite it code for you if need be - with or without faux columns - but I think if you have a look at some 3 column designs you can work it out yourself.

Your call
