line-height, what is it's job?
Could somebody please explain the 'line-height' attribute to me and when its used. I see it in bits of code all the time but have never understood its job.
Thanks Danny322 |

Re: line-height, what is it's job?
Hi Danny.
Line height is the spacing between lines. The white spacee you see between this line and this line... If you were to increase line height to 30px for instance then lines might be this far apart instead of this far apart. That is the line-height and via css you can adjust this smaller or larger to suit your needs, and design. Hope this makes sense.

It can also be used to hack IE6 when you're having troubles with very small height divs
