Positioning an image with a link

Hey i'm new here. I am currently editing my myspace it looks like this

I need links to placed where it says comments etc on the background image but i dont know how.

I decided i could cut out pieces of the image where i need links, put them back in the web page and position them. Such as below:

Or if you know the code to make areas of a background image clickable i can use that?

I see thx... now i'm in trouble, i have a massive long code, i believe its html, somewhere in there the adverts have been removed i'm going to have to find it.
