Problems making horizontal footer with 2 lines...
I'm 95% done with this site I'm doing, and now the client wants to add more crap to the footer. I had it working fine, when everything could fit on a single line, but I have to make the address use two lines, and also have the phone numbers take up two lines. I've attached a picture showing an example of what I want.
I'm currently stumped as to how I can get this laid out like this using a list, and have the text centered within the space. I tried to add a line break, but it moved the whole list down. Thanks for any help, or even if you have a link with some navigation or a footer that is laid out like this that I could reference. Thanks! |

Re: Problems making horizontal footer with 2 lines...
Hey Mike..
I don't know ... I think I would nest some div's inside the footer. 4 of them. Make them all the same width and same heights. Then put the text in the divs. The middle two div's could have left and right borders. Do you need a sample? |

Re: Problems making horizontal footer with 2 lines...
I can do that, I was thinking maybe there was a way do it with a list like how I had it before. The site is already a little "div happy" since I started it months ago when I knew very little about css. If nobody has a better way, I'll use divs. Thanks!

Re: Problems making horizontal footer with 2 lines...
div happy is better than table happy!
I did a footer like the way I described. Not sure it's the best way but it looks good! |

Re: Problems making horizontal footer with 2 lines...
I did something like this a while back and I used a single list and a span I think. Unfortunately my HD died the other day and until the data retrieval mans gives me the good news (and all of my data) I haven't got my stuff.

Re: Problems making horizontal footer with 2 lines...
Sorry is that two separate lines or one line of links but with each link going on 2 separate lines? I can do the first one but not the second. Separate spans or divs would be necessary, I think.

only the email was a link, but I got it working with divs last night, so I think I'm just going to stick with that. Thanks guys!
