Getting there
Well I finally found a couple of days to look into CSS, having got a book on it as a Christmas present.
This was the design I originally came up with using traditional tables: http://www.hub-uk.com/hub2/ and this is what I have come up with using CSS: http://www.hub-uk.com/hub2/index-css.html It looks well in IE and is more or less there in Firefox although there are one or two things annoying me in Firefox. For example, in my numbered list a zero appears to the left of the first item – bizarre! |

Pea green? I thought it was a very appropriate olive green! |

Re: Getting there
I meant on the main index page, not the page you linked which has a nice shade of green.

Re: Getting there
Now I am with you. That is the old site design which this new design is to replace. Just need to find five minutes to do it!

Re: Getting there
Ahh, I see. Yes, your olive/tan colors are very handsome.
Two things. First, the top of the page is so attractive with all the red to red/orange accent colors. You need to expand the palette lower down the page to include more in this accent color. Second and very minor, an optical illusion makes the left padding in the left box look larger than the left padding in the main box. The text lines might be a tad long. The colon after "Note:" is inconsistant IMO. What method did you use for your round corners? They look great. |
