output IE vs. FF

hello everyone. i have a problem with my previous client's site.
the outputs were totally different. i used css div for my web pages. it was fine with IE but there were white spaces with FF...
what can i do to make my page design working with FF?
responses are very much appreciated

Make it look great in Firefox first, then worry about how IE renders. And yeah, let's see the URI.

I have to agree with herkalees here. And a URI would be helpful and allow us to help troubleshoot or fix potential errors in CSS.
