Simple Pop-Up page question

Whats going on everybody.

Just have a quick question.

I set up some Photoshop Photo Galleries on my sister-in-law's web page tonight.

My question is, I set the links to target_blank, so the gallery will pop up in a new window. However, as of now, when you click the link and the new window pops up, it is sized all wrong and still has all the Address Bar, etc in the new window.

My question is, how can I set it up so the window has fixed dimensions so it will fit around the gallery pictures perfectly? Also, how can I set it up so it is a simple window, and does not have the above address bar and everything, to give it a nice and clean look. I see this kind of stuff all over the internet, so hopefully its not too extensive to arrange this.

here is what I am talking about:

NOTE:
The only links that work are Weddings, Engagements, Family and Maternity, and they all have different styled photo galleries (we have not decided which style to keep for all of them yet).

Anyways, thanks in advance for the help!!

-Joe

Re: Simple Pop-Up page question

This site is actually for centering the pop-up window, but look futher down in PINK there is code for setting the dimensions.

Be aware that some people have pop up blockers disallowed.
Also some people really really hate it when you resize their windows. Just words of caution for you.
Also, I do not believe this will delete the toolbars... not sure.

Re: Simple Pop-Up page question

I would rather use some simple JavaScript to open a pop-up window. I think it is preferable to using the target attribute. It isn't valid as far as I'm aware. You can use JS to set the window size as well, I think. But it would better to avoid using pop-ups at all really as there is a very real danger of them not opening due to things like pop-up blockers.

Re: Simple Pop-Up page question

Oh and I like the viewer on the weddings gallery best but I have one or two reservations over it's usability. It's alittle tricky because of the way the thumbs resize on hover. Other than that it's great though. If there was a way to enlarge the thumb without it pushing the others along then that would be better.
