Screen resoloution problems on my website.

Hi,

i have some screen resoloution problems on my website, Marc-Online.co.uk.
My desktop's screen resoloution is set to 1280x1024,
and my laptop's screen resoloution is 1024x768. I built my website (http://marc-online.co.uk on my desktop. When i look at the website on my laptop it is all dis-orentated and all out of place.

Is there any way i can combat this?

I was thinking of a script that checked your screen resoloution then automaticly directed you to the website to suit. So if you had a screen resoloution of 800x600 it would direct you to www.marc-online.co.uk/800x600/ ?? Is this possible? (i dont want to go down this route because it would be time consuming and i dont know how to do that sort of stuff)

Thanks,
Marc.

Re: Screen resoloution problems on my website.

Hey Marc, I just checked the site in FF 2.0 and it looks ok. I changed the resolution of my browser and it expanded and contracted nicely. The only thing that I see that looks odd is the right column is really long and skinny.

Re: Screen resoloution problems on my website.

Is the left box in-line with the left hand side of the header, and the right box in line with the right hand side of the header in all resoloutions? because on my laptop (smaller res) the two boxes go closer to the middle and move away from the left hand & right hand sides of the header. Also in IE6 the header moves down behind the two boxes.

Ahhhhhh yes... I see what you mean. I thought that was the design...

I'll play with the code and see if I can't get it squared away..

There are some neat JavaScript unobtrusive scripts that dynamically switch style sheets depending on browser size. They are quite nice and I'm still itching to use one.
