css displays wrong font from local file

I am using css linked styles in a page and it displays fine when viewed from Dreamweaver and on-line.

If I display directly from my local folder on either IE or Firefox the styles are lost and it displays in defaults. Frustrating!

Any ideas?

What have you written as the path to your CSS file?
If a browser cannot find a CSS file then it will carry on without it. It won't warn your that it couldn't find it.

Thanks d3mon. You pointed me in the right direction. My css path looked ok but I relinked it, got the same visible result in my code but the problem has gone away.
