Odd background colours in IE5 and IE5.5
Hi
I have a page, which is producing very odd coloured background areas in IE5 and 5.5. It works fine in everything else I've looked at - Mac and PC. I’ve validated the markup and CSS, which seems okay too. I’ve tried all sorts of tests on the IE5-specific CSS but cant get it to behave. Can anyone throw any light on the problem? http://www.catchnet.com/clientarea/selway/ For those who can't view the above link in IE5/5.5, here is a page with two screenshots. http://www.catchnet.com/clientarea/selway/cssIssues.php I hope can help? Re: Odd background colours in IE5 and IE5.5
If its only IE 5.x I wouldn't worry too much. Just throw in a conditional comment for lte IE 5.5 and have it say "You suck, get a real browser." I haven't checked your code yet but I will when I have some more time to see about a fix.
