copywriting help needed

Hi,

I'm starting my own home-based business as website designer and developer. Never knew that the most difficult part is writing your own web content/copy for your won business.

Can anyone help ???????

I do all my own copywriting but it is an extremely tedious. Most of my efforts go into writing my sales emails which doesn't leave much energy for writing anything else. When I am creating Cooking Holiday pages I use the text from the customers site but quite often it is insufficient or has to be rewritten which is the tedious part of the job. I get plenty of satisfaction from completing the job though.

I have an online CV but the effort of writing that means it is badly in need of updating, not to mention needing a new design! (www.hub-uk.com/cv).

I spent years in sales in London and writing sales pitches was something I was doing all the time. When I had my own web design pages I found it hard to write the copy. What you have to put across in any sales situation is Features, Advantages, Benefits (FAB) - make a list and work from there. Once you have something written, even in note form, it will strat to come together.
