Just wondering if anyone has any experience with copyright... particualrly videos..
I'm just wondering where to start with obtaining permissions to use and sell them.. and I'm not sure where to start..
the biggest issue is that there are so many vids out there and so many owners.. is ther not just one place I can get permission and then pay royalties to and have them distribute the royalties to their respective owners???
I could just go ahead and sell vids without but I'd much prefer the legal route.. origianlly I set my site up for testing and marketing research without legalaties in place but now I want to start advertising it without worry of prosecution. I am particularly intrested in a partnership with sony so I want things to be totally above board.. with sonys backing things shoud take off smooth
Does anyone have any experience or info they would like to share???
To be perfectly honest my site started out of nothing... I use free ware when possible due to a very small budget of practricly nothing to maybe $50 per month.. I use Open source CMS like OsComerce and SMF and now I want to go to the next level....
My site could make some serious $$$ if I can get past the copyright thing.. which is the only thing in my way now.. once thats sorted I can approach sony with my pitch which I know they will snap up
I am also looking for staffing for my site but it would have to be on the understanding that you work as I do.. and thats when you can spare some time and money will come when things get off the ground better...
I'm not looking for over night sucess like YouTube but we are starting similarly although we are nothing like youtube... So we all know sucess can come from NOTHING
Anyways back on tiopic... If anyone can help with some info... please post or PM..
