Web Standards Curriculum Launched

Today Opera has launched a new education system that aims to teach all you need to know about Web Standard based development - "a course designed to give anyone a solid grounding in web design/development, no matter who they are - it is completely free to use, accessible, and assumes no previous knowledge."

Opera 9.5 Released !

are you getting what you pay for?

Well, it's in the news again, we are getting a lot slower internet speeds than what we pay for.

With connection deals out there for 6mbps and 8mbps, it would seem that the average connection available is 3.2mbps (with London having the highest at 4.5mbps and Northern Ireland a low 2.3mbps)

MS to Yahoo - "Accept or else"...

Microsoft have given Yahoo until April the 26th to accept its bid offer or it will go ahead and buy them out on the open market, at a significantly lower price.


Have MS gone mad? This is just pure bully boy tactics.

Internet usage tracking - illegal or necessary?

So it would appear that BT internet users have had there internet habits tracked and documented without consent:

At present such tracking systems, although available, are still highly controversial, and companies that are using them are under increasing attack within the media for using such systems.
