ATTENTION: Due to a large number of idiots ruling the web, I have decided to rule my own portion of the web. Any Questions?
This is the only blog where low-calcium is ok!
Welcome to the humble blog for Idiots, its almost like Web 2.1 for Dummies. EXCEPT its more blunt and half as much sodium.
I own various web-sites here and there and I'll be bloging about the extraneous task of making them from not-so-great to fantastic (in 3 easy years.) Enjoy!
Bi-Weekly Progress Report of The Seal Portal Project
Updated Feb 5th, 2008 at 17:07 by TheSealPortalTeam
Here is this weeks, Bi-Weekly Report:
Latest Additions:
- TheSealPortal.com Domain was purchased and added to our server.
- The SQL database was created on the Seal Portal Server.
- The Design was released for both the pre-login pages and the Adventure pages.
- The ability for seperate user entities.
- The ability for User Creation and Registration - in progress.
- The ability for E-mail and user verification - in progress.
- Personal information leak concern. This concern was brought by a user of this Forum. We have no way at the moment to protect users from having their personal information stolen if they register or login.
- The use of SSL certificates and Secured Connections is underway for IIS and ASPX.net.
- The use of SC (System Credits) for common currency in this fictional environment. Allowing people to earn or spend credits while participating in various activities at the Seal Portal.
- The Welcome Screen, and welcome screen implementations.
- User Modules, allowing users to define or use pre-defined modules to show certain status(es) of their activities, character, and profile.
- ? Navigation ?
It is the second week of the Seal Portals creation and it has come a long way with a long way to go. I am very pleased at the progress, even though I know we could be moving a bit faster. We are still doing a marvelous job when it comes to standardizing code, SQL, and IIS upgrades.
I've seen several successful upgrades to the server and I'm very happy that so far we have no problems with integrating multiple code. Besides the obvious problems.
So keep up the good work people!
