Ok, back again. Let's see....what would be an interesting subject to discuss, take apart and rage against. I think that covers just about everything....
Ah, my cats....Well, they are still playing that 'I am so cute you know it wasn't me that was on the table tasting the butter."
Ya, right...I have come to the conclusion, cats have an ulterior motive for hanging around humans. I am pretty sure it has something to do with Conquest of the world, but I haven't gotten a clear answer from my felines.
Ashur (the Wart to everyone) claims he adores me because I take such good care of him. I just don't have the heart to tell him he was not my first choice for kitten. The only reason I keep him around is so the others have someone to beat up. Fortunately, he is a feisty little fur person and the other cats have learned he can be a little buzz saw when he wants.
Sprocket the Rocket is my 20 pounds of hunky, type A personality fuddy dog.
Picking him up requires a crane and when he sits on you, you know you have been sat upon. You gotta sorta feel sorry for him, 'cause he had been adopted and then they returned him for being unmanageable. Sprocket? Type A, Ghosts!! He is just your normal run of the mill hyperactive, very large and very, very friendly domesticated feline.
My sister also has two of her own.
Bast is a Cat in the true sense of the word. We have been know to call her Stubby sometimes....short legs, short tail, and round...round body, no neck to speak of and a very, very round face with way way to small ears. She started out shy, but is now loud, demanding and bossy...and yes, she is a female feline.
The other one is Attila the Hun, the Scourge of God. He got his name because he is what they call a polydactyl cat. He has lots of extra toes and claws, 24 at last count. The other cats have learned it can be dangerous to play with him. The one interesting thing is that both of his front feet have what actually look like thumbs and he tries to grip with them. He hasn't completely mastered it, but he does keep trying. Oh, and we also have been know to call him Waterboy....Why? He loves to lick...himself, other cats, people when they try to pet him...almost anything that moves and some things that don't.
So thats it..the wart, sprock, stubby and scourge....the Beasom family cats!

I used to have a cat that was such a bully that the neighbourhood dogs began to fear her. Her paw swipes were so ferocious I don't think even Rocky would get up after a right hook from her.
She once beat up a rottweiler that was attacking my dog, sprung from the trees -- a right, a left, an uppercut and a taunt -- back to the trees. The rotty had no idea what was up and quickly departed, never to be seen again. Since Wander died I haven't had a pet since, except for Russ & Pups who are quite placid and too busy saving the world to cause much trouble for me. :o |

My friend has a cat that thinks he's a rabbit. He hops around, bouncing off of everything. And he eats carrots... a lot!
