Cross browser nuisance

Its good to have choices between web browsers. But whats sucks horribly is that every browser has its own way to rendering content, which is different from other browsers. For eg: I just scripted a code which works all together different on IE, FF and Opera. Writing the code is not a headache if you get the logic clearly but getting it to work smoothly with all browsers is a fairly prohibitive challenge.

Just as we have (X)HTML, CSS , RSS validation, isn't there any test which validates...

Internet & Isolation of Society

During my university years (2000) I started to research a paper around the internet and its impact on society.

My basic premise was that although the internet is a global tool, that will encourage cross border collaboration, co-operation and integration / understanding of different cultures, it will also see the demise of social skills. The interaction between people on a face-to-face level will suffer, as all we know is how to txt tlk. lol.

Social Networking & Dating sites

Is it just me or are there millions of these lately?
Half the advertising I see is "meet a girl in your area". Seriously, how can they make money? There's thousands of dating sites.
I see no point in creating one, even with loads of advertising the already established sites will succeed.
And the worst thing about these social networking sites and dating sites is that they all use the same downloadable system.

Mobile Pages? If your page Validates you might not need extra work!

So today I decided to check all the functions of this new firorFox add-on. One of the functions renders mobile pages, it takes sites and shows you what it would look like in mobile. So I did the portal.

It looks like, in design I'll have no more restructuring or reprogramming for the portal. Since I use master pages and all my master pages are perfect XHTML Transitional, has no JavaScript, and uses a few images, it was completely compatible with mobile systems. Get this it looks like...
