Web Template

Right now i have a basic webtemplate that i made, But certian things keeps going foul.Like i wanted a google search on the top left side of my page, but it keeps going to the bottom left. Can any one help me with that? Also my table are not working right. i usually do it one way and it works.
Example :

<tr>
<td>this is just an example
</tr>
</td>
</table>
am i doing somthing wrong? I know its probally some stupid thing i got wrong. Can anyone help me fix this.Once i get this fixed i am going to install graphic software (paint.net).

please post questions in the forum

You did every thing right instead of closing thr <tr> tag first you closed <td> tag make these changes you may get things right..
