need help to start learning flash

Hi,

I have just joined this forum and think its a great place to be in.

I would like to start learning Flash and build my way to get a decent job revolving around it. Can you please help me with what version of Flash software should i start learning ? Is it essential for me to invest in the latest CS3 version for learning?

Is it possible to self learn or a class / college is essential?

How imp is it to have a certification in Flash to find a job?

any help in this regard is greatly appreciated. thanks for ur time and inputs.

I done a bit of both self tech and also proper training but this cost loads and i got that through a previous job.

Makes total sense that you would have posted this question in the beginner resources forum. If you do not get the answers you desire within 24 hours, please repost in the flash forum. Our flash guru's rarely venture outside of that forum!

yeah its better to join a school or college they give a more in depth view or the subject and better for job employment as well.

Okay, well I am going to recommend you buy flash from Adobe. Might as well get the latest version and not an older version. As far as the certification goes most clients only care about your portfolio, what you can do for them, and what you have done! Business like to see a degree or certification of some type, but they will also be happy if you are good and have a great portfolio.
