upload files
hi, can anyone help me, all was going well for me until i had to change me computer and now have vista as my o/s.
unfortunately i have just tried to upload a few pages to my website using windows commander as well as wsftp pro, and my pages aren't loading correctly and i am loosing my links. When i check the pages in Front Page, the hyperink has changed and has numbers in the link with a % symbol. I have deleted and re loaded the files with still no lick and i am concerned this could be something to do with vista. any help will be much appreciated |

Re: upload files
If you have spaces in the name of your file such as my page.html
the internet version will be changed to my20%page.html To avoid that, use my-page.html or my_page.html Even if you have numbers and % in the file name, your content should still be fine. I suspect there is something else going on. |

Re: upload files
Just in case... it's my%20page.html! Ditch FrontPage, by the way. Look into DreamWeaver and hand coding

Re: upload files
I'm betting Frontpage doesn't work with Vista and probably why Microsoft just came out with Web Expressions recently. You absolutely need to move to another software program since Frontpage will not be upgraded. Look in the html forum for some other alternatives for html text editors. Or if you want something that feels a bit familiar Dreamweaver. Dreaweaver just came out with Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. yummy... I have to go check it out!

Re: upload files
For a cheap html text editor I love Note Tab Pro from Fookes Software. I've been using it now for 8 years or so. I mainly design with Dreamweaver at work, but at home it's Note Tab Pro!
