text based slide show

hi
i want to create a text based slide show using asp.net with vb.
i want it to have a series of slides where i can explain different things in each 'slide'. also i would like a sequence of text to appear one after the other in each slide. does anyone know how i can do this, i am making my application using visual web developer 2008 express edition. i have looked it up on the internet but what i find doesnt seem to make sense to me.
i hope i have posted this up in the right place as i think it may include javascript aswell

Sounds like your trying to create a powerpoint slide show via Asp.Net. Well Guess what, you can use PowerPoint instead... Most server that support Asp.Net also support powerPoint online, and that would take care of that.

As far as using ASP.Net you won't find a solution there without creating an extremely complex application. If your determined to do this, then javascript is your simplest coding option.

hi,

i did think it would be a javascript thing but i wasnt sure, i dont want to use powerpoint because i dont want it to look like an outside application that is doing the slide show, do you know any other way i can achieve it?

Well there are frameworks available that will do this kind of thing for you. Scriptio.us is one that I have heard of people using before for things such as this. I believe if you use it for free you must allow whatever you made to be available as open source and thats the only real catch to it.

You can also use Flash to create the animations as well. This is a good option if you own flash, if not then this isn't for you .
