Hi all
Real live newbie here who having trawled the internet for a suitable script for handling my form is now completely and utterly confused. Whatever I do I cannot get the form to work properly. In my frustration I spat the dummy out and deleted everyting and started again. Now I dont have anything. Stupid I know, but hey I am stupid. All I want is to have a feedback form on my website and when submit is clicked it emails to me the field and its contents. I have tried reading the faqs on my server but quite hoenestly I dont understand because they just say, well take a look, StreamlineNet redirects all web based mail to an SMTP Filter System. Mails must have either a valid "from" or "to" address which is a domain hosted with StreamlineNet. Any mail that doesn't fulfil these criteria is dropped. If you are sending mail to a customer who has given you his email address, you need to use the domain name of the site (note that it does not need to be a valid mailbox on the account) noreply@domain.tld is a fairly common one to use. Remember to use a valid account if you want the customer to reply to the email. StreamlineNet' SMTP Filter System rate limits outgoing mail from any domain. This prevents bulk emailing. Our limits are set to allow normal form based email activity to pass unhindered, but stop any persistent attempt to send bulk mail. I have no idea what they are tal;king about. Please could someone direct me to a site that speaks in plain english and tutors me on how to generate the correct script format, or, could someone write the script for me so I can at least have a base to start from. Thanks in advance. PS I am thinking of taking up knitting until I fiound out that knitting too has a language as in knit one perl one |

Re: Email form using asp
essentially, they are just saying to make sure your own email address is in either the FROM field, or the TO field and dont use the account to send buckets of spam.

Re: Email form using asp
or have an address that is admin@yourdomain.com. sending emails from your account from benbramz@webforumz.com for example, would be in violation..
